About North Dakota Legislative District 22

North Dakota Legislative District 22 is located in the western rural and suburban parts of Cass County; Cass County is where the cities of Fargo and West Fargo are located. Today Cass County is the most heavily populated county within North Dakota. In recent years, the largest growth in population in the state has occurred in areas of Legislative District 22. The district is within the Red River Valley and has some of the richest and most productive agricultural crop raising farmland in the world.

Communities in Legislative District 22 include the towns of Horace, Casselton, Kindred, Leonard and many more. Many people in these rural and suburban communities are employed in Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead, Minnesota; Moorhead is a sister city located across the Red River in Minnesota.

There are eleven precincts in the District. Approximately 13,000 to 14,000 people live in the district.
